What: Seaside Ice is a seasonal ice rink, with public skating sessions, music, food and beverages, games, special events, and private parties.Where: Seaside Lagoon, 200 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
Open from November 11, 2009 through January 18, 2010.
Hours: Weekdays from 2:30pm (11:00am on school holidays) – 9:30pm, Weekends 10:00am – 10:30pm
Who: Seaside Ice, LLC is owned and operated by Scott Williams and Tom Kearney. The event is supported by the City of Redondo Beach and our Sponsors.
HIRING FOR: ASST. MGRS, CASHIERS, SKATE GUARDS & ASSISTANTS (PAY SCALE $8-$14/hr)

Cashier / Assistant Job Description:
- Greet customers and communicate event information
- Manage cash register and customer entry process
- Host special events and parties
- Monitor attendance levels on the ice and off
- Skate rental booth- pass out skate and clean skates
- Sell concessions- beverage and snacks
- Help keep work areas clean and other general assistance as required
- Help with general maintenance ( as required)
- Skills that will be beneficial and considered for selection include;
- Customer service oriented!
- Good communication skills
- Friendly demeanor
- Quick learners with attention to detail
- Should be able to pick someone up if necessary
- Experience in retail or event production a plus
- CPR or other life-saving training a plus
- Work experience and references considered
General Skate Guard Job Description:
- Skate guards must be ADVANCED ice skaters, own their own skates, and pass a skating competency test
- Watch over ice skaters (on the ice while skating), ensuring safe activity
- Monitor attendance levels on the ice and off
- Skate rental booth- pass out skate and clean skates
- Sell concessions- beverage and snacks
- Help keep work areas clean and other general assistance as required
- Help with ice maintenance ( as required)
- Skills that will be beneficial and considered for selection include;
- Customer service oriented!
- Good communication skills
- Friendly demeanor
- Quick learners with attention to detail
- Ability to skate expertly and be comfortable on the ice
- Should be able to pick someone up if necessary
- Experience in ice rinks a plus
- CPR or other life-saving training a plus
- Work experience and references considered
